United States Power Squadrons is a non profit, educational organization dedicated to making boating safer and more enjoyable by teaching classes in seamanship, navigation and related subjects. Each squadron's activities involve the three primary objectives of USPS: community service, continuing education, and enjoying the friendship and camaraderie of our fellow members.

The Beverly Squadron is one of five squadrons of District 18. The Beverly  Squadron was established in 1948 and serves Beverly, Massachusetts and the surrounding area.

Our Squadron Burgee depicts the Schooner Hannah, one of the first ships of the US Navy and commissioned in Beverly.

One of our main functions is to provide public classes in safe boating. Annually, we provide about five public boating classes in the Massachusetts North Shore.
